The online course consists of six practical step-by-step video lessons for children from urban sketchers and illustrators Agnese Aljena and Masha Zurikova. The aim of this course is to teach children sketching (or drawing) from nature with ink and watercolour in easy manner. We want to inspire kids to observe the world around us and to begin drawing it. Every video lesson encourages a kid to look around and to draw his or her world (not to copy the picture in video). In this course children will learn not only how to paint with watercolor, but also how to see and to notice things. Because observation and learning to see is one of the basic skills in drawing. Each video lesson is accompanied with a guide in three languages (English, Latvian and Russian) for parents or teachers that explains the task and the goal for each lesson. The guide will advice you how to help to overcome creative crisis and to encourage kid to keep trying. It also includes a note with an adult version of the same task so that you can make this process more fun and sketch together.
